Passenger Rights
Regulation (EU) no.1177/2010 governs the rights of passengers who decide to use forms of transport by sea and inland waterways.
The Italian Government has designated the Transport Regulatory Authority (ART) as the body responsible for implementing the contents of the Directive in Italy.
In accordance with Article 23, paragraph 1 of Regulation (EU) no. 1177/2010, the company Trieste Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. , within its sphere of competence, makes available to the public information on the rights of passengers travelling by sea and inland waterways. A summary of these provisions is made known by means of notices located within the port facility. The entire Regulation (EU) no. 1177/2010 is also published on the Company’s Internet site.

COMPLAINTS
If you believe that your rights have not been respected, you can send a complaint to the carrier or to the terminal operator.
In accordance with Article 24 of the Regulation, the passenger can
submit a formal complaint within two months from the date of the
inefficiency.
Complaints addressed to the terminal operator of Trieste Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. can be sent as follows:

The Company takes charge of the complaint and confirms its receipt within no more than sixty (60) days.
After this deadline, passengers who have already complained to the
carrier or to the terminal operator may file a complaint, even through
associations representing their interests (where delegated), to the
Transport Regulatory Authority (as a body of second instance) to report
violations of the obligations under Regulation (EU) No 1177/2010.
The complaint may be submitted to the Transport Regulatory Authority (ART) using the appropriate form available on the website https://www.autorita-trasporti.it/
The complaint letter shall be transmitted together with the data processing consent form, duly filled in and signed by the applicant.
