Hydrofoils
The Adriatic and Mediterranean seas, which have always been places of commercial exchange, are affected by growing phenomena of development of maritime traffic between the member countries of the European Union and neighboring countries. Furthermore, with the fall of the iron curtain, new fast services were launched to connect with the nearby seaside resorts of Slovenia and Croatia, a holiday destination especially during the summer.
Trieste Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A. offers spaces and structures in order to promote this type of service.
In the summer period, at the Maritime Station of Molo IV, a connection service is active between Trieste and the Istrian coast, via hydrofoils managed by the company Liberty Lines
